Pisapapeles.net: Guacolda es la nueva supercomputadora de la Universidad de Chile
“¿Recuerdas nuestro reciente artículo sobre los Centros de Procesamiento de Datos o Data Centers? Pues bien, hoy veremos un ejemplo de esto aplicado a la realidad. Resulta que recientemente, la Universidad de Chile ha presenta a Guacolda, su nueva supercomputadora. Este nuevo computador de grandes dimensiones llega para complementar a Leftraru, la actual supercomputadora que posee la institución y que ostenta de tener el título de ser uno de los tres mejores computadores de Sudamérica. Cabe señalar que Guacolda posee cinco veces más potencia que Leftraru”, señala el medio digital respecto al nuevo cluster del Laboratorio Nacional de Computación de Alto Rendimiento, institución albergada en el Centro de Modelamiento Matemático (CMM) de la Universidad de Chile.
